Some more Bookmarks..

I just love making bookmarks, its so easy to be made n very useful :) So here are some new additions to my bookmark collections..

Quilled photo frames @@@

Friends we'll always be...

This beautiful photo frame is very simple to make. All you need is :

• cardboard
• white handmade paper
• black drawing sheet
• coloured quilling paper
• silver thread or lace
• glue to stick

Cut cardboard such that your photo can be fit. Cover it with handmade paper (you can use black drawing sheet for the same)

Now make shapes with quilling paper. I made flowers with different color quilling paper by rolling one over the other. Make leaves and stick everything on the cardboard.

I made another frame with a flap, I made a gift box shape on it. Write a birthday message. U can see the gift box for reference. Add silver ribbon to it for decoration.

Stick this flap to the frame with photo. The flap becomes stand for the frame.

I made two cute couple on the border of the frame. 

Its a lovely gift. Keep crafting and make everyone happy :) :)

Christmas time..!! :)

I made few glass paintings as christmas gifts.. It is very easy to make and can be gifted to anyone.. I m sure it will be liked by everyone :)

Secret Card

I made this card which has a secret opening. The card has a normal opening which everyone can see, as well as a secret opening which people will come to know only if you tell, so you can use this space to write any secret message which you will not want others to see. This is a very unique card, I have explained the steps to make it.

• All you need is a drawing sheet (I have taken black colored sheet)
• Cut it into dimension 5" X 8". Below is a picture showing partition. Make a crease along the white dotted line.

• Next you need to fold the card into half as marked in the above picture.
• Make three cuts along the dotted red line (see the picture alongside)

• Now cut two straps of pattern paper of dimension 5"X 2".
• You will now have to slide these through the slits in the card base such that it becomes a matted format (see the picture for reference).

• Your card is ready with two sided normal opening.
• Are you wondering about the secret opening? All you need to do is fold the card from middle towards outside.
• Carefully pull apart along the arrows.

• This is the secret space where you can write your secret message. Your secret card is ready.

I gifted this card to a very special friend of mine. I made a cute girl and guy and wrote our fighting conversation in bubbles. My friend was surprised reading it but when I showed him the secret opening, where I wrote proper message for him, he was very happy :) :)

Pop up cake

I made this birthday cake pop up card for my sweet sister, who is fond of cakes. The card says "Birthdays are nature's way of telling us to eat more". I used newspaper cuttings to write the message.

As the card opens a cute little 3 layered cake pops up!! The card made my sister very happy, hope even your dear ones like it..!! Happy Crafting :)

 Follow the following simple and easy steps:

•  Cut out all the pieces as shown in the figure.
•  Fold the center post along the dotted lines.
• Fold the circles in half in both directions. Crushing the fibers in both directions helps the cake unfold when the card is opened.
• Crease the fold lines on the legs.

• Make a slit exactly in the center of the circle, such that the post can fit in.
• Fold the edges of the center post to allow the post to slip through the slit.
• Stack the layers on the post.

• Fold the leg of the top layer down towards the middle layer.
• Stick the last fold of the legs to the top of the next layer.
• Repeat the same with middle and the bottom layer.
• Make appropriate slots in the card fold.
• Slide the post feet through the middle slot (on the card fold).
• Apply glue and stick the ends of the post feet and bottom most layer's feet to the card base.

• Your cake frame will be standing.
• Now cut off strips and cover the layer legs, this will form your layered cake.
• You can make strips of your choice of 

• Stick candles right in the center.
• Fold the card and let it dry.
• Your pop up cake card is ready :)
