Anniversary Cards

Marriages are made in heaven......

Here's a card idea for Anniversary. I made this on the 25th Anniversary of my aunt & uncle.
Things you will require for making this card are: White Drawing sheet, Maroon Velvet paper, white pearl, paint & paint brush, silver thread, white lace, ribbon, printed paper and 3D out-liner.

  • Fold white drawing sheet and cut it in rectangular form.
  • On the top of the card, leave borders at the side and stick velvet paper of appropriate size.
  • Stick white lace horizontally such that it divides the card into 3:1 ratio.
  • Then cut out heart from white sheet, Stitch it with maroon ribbon.
  • Use pearls to write the years of anniversary.

  • Paint the interior with a light shade of pink color.
  • Now Paste thin strips of velvet paper on the sides, inside the card.
  • Make Love Birds on one inner half of the card.
  • On the other half stick printed paper such that it can be opened.

  • Write quotation on it and enclose this within a heart.
  • You can write Happy Anniversary on the either sides of the printed paper, be it horizontally or vertically. Use 3D out-liner to write this.

  • Open the flap of printed paper and stick to it sunflower cut outs.
  • Paste the photograph of the couple in the shape of flower pot and their children's photograph inside the sunflowers.

Anniversary cum welcome to new member.....

Here's a heart shaped card congratulating the couple on their anniversary, who are expecting a new member....
I made this card on my brother's anniversary. The couple are to bring a new member to our family.... And I thank my sister-in-law for growing our family tree... God bless the baby...

  • Cut white drawing sheet in the given way so that it looks like a heart( be careful, don't cut off from every side, leave at least one side uncut)
  • I made matrix pattern all over it, you may also use such a kind of printed paper.
  • Leave space in between to paste the couple's photograph.

  • Cut a long strip of white drawing sheet, fold it into small parts.
  • In every part draw babies.
  • Now stick this to two ends of the card.

  • Take a black drawing sheet and cut it arbitrarily in form of grass. Stick it in the bottom part of the card.
  • Now, cut out small flowers, leaves and butterflies. Stick these near the grass.

  • Write down wishes for the couple as well as the new member...

May every hour of every day be blessed with a shinning gift of joy,
A dream to share together,
A memory that's forever,
A promise that the best is yet to come...

Surprising Christmas Card :)

The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree is the presence of a happy family...
Make your loved ones happy by gifting them this Christmas card. It is a simple popup card.......

You just need to follow some simple steps:
  • Cut out a drawing sheet in rectangular shape.
  • Cut a circle on the right hand side of the upper flap.
  • Make 4 parallel line cuts in pairs of two, half of each lying on one side and half on the other, as shown below...
  • Fold the cuts along the middle partition.

  • Draw a snowman or Santa, Christmas Tree, and some gifts.
  • Paste the gift in such a way that it's visible from top through the circular cut.
  •  Paste the Snowman and Christmas Tree on the front of the fold you made earlier by cutting the parallel lines, so that it pops up as the card is opened.
  • Cut a Handmade paper/ Patterned paper of the same size as the drawing sheet.
  • By placing it over the drawing sheet, make a similar circular cut as you did earlier.
  • Now paste it in such a way that the drawing sheet with cuts remains inside the patterned paper cut-out.
  • Tie a ribbon on the top of the card
  • Using a 3-D out-liner or glitter write Christmas phrases.

May lovely, happy times decorate your holiday season,
May warm, special memories brighten your new year,
May the wonder of Christmas be with you forever...

Memories framed in Photo Frames

Things end but memories last forever....
Photographs are captured forever, they remember little things, long after you have forgotten everything... And they can be best stored in frames. So here're some beautiful ideas to store memories.....

This is a simple yet beautiful frame, made of cardboard.
  • Cut out a cardboard, let the borders be broad as you need to write over it.
  • Place it over an uncut cardboard  of the same size , this will be the base of the frame.
  • Wrap the two separately with black sheets.
  • Stick  the two such that you leave space in the sides to insert photograph.
  • Using a 3-D out-liner or glitter write down a message over the borders...
  • Make a stand at its back and a hanging mechanism also. The stand could be also made of cardboard while you can simply pierce hole and tie a ribbon which will serve the purpose of hanging....

  • Now insert a photograph from the slit and gift this to your loved ones.
  • After adding the photograph cover it with transparent cellophane sheet.

This is a cute photo frame which I made for my lil sis...
I made this photo frame on an old table calendar. To make such a frame you can follow the steps below:
  • Cut cardboard pieces to make the border of the frame.
  • Wrap it up with light colored paper.
  • Detach the calendar pages from the table calendar.
  • Properly paste the wrapped cardboard pieces over it.
  • Now draw things that girls love such as flowers, balloons, teddy, music, butterfly, gifts, cakes etc.
  • Color them and cut them neatly.
  • Paste these by placing small cardboard pieces below them to give a 3-D effect.
  • Now take an old magazine and cut out alphabets. Using these write any related phrase like "Birthday Girl", "Happy Birthday", "Friends Forever" etc.

  • Now insert a photograph from the slit and gift this to your loved ones.
  • After adding the photograph cover it with transparent cellophane sheet.

This is a lovely gift that girls of all age would like....

Cute Guitar Shaped Card

We can give cards to our loved ones on every occasion. Here's a wonderful idea of card-making.. You can make cards of different shapes for your loved ones, in shapes of the things they are fond of...

I made a card for my sister who is crazy about guitar....
I used white colored drawing sheet to make it...
Fold the sheet once and draw the shape you want to give to your card. Make sure the two folds be connected by the line of fold even after you cut the shape.
Carefully cut the shape and paint it accordingly....
You can make any kind of patterns or diagrams on it, whatever makes it look cute ( I made a kitty which made it cuter.....). For the strings of guitar you can use 3-D out-liner, but apply it neatly.

For the interior of the card...
Cut out small heart shapes and stick half part of each. Write inside each of the hearts and close their flaps..
I made collage of our pics, and wrote a poem cherishing old memories.....

Finally, I tied the card with a ribbon.
My sister loved it, and I am sure everyone will......

A Love Letter for LOVE

Love Letter is a romantic way  to express feelings of love in written form. You can write it for your husband, lover or boyfriend. You can make it more attractive by giving it a twist.

Here's a form of love letter....

What you need to do first is that pour down your feelings on a piece of paper ( i used A4 sized paper). I drew a watermark of a romantic couple, you can use your own ideas.

Then take a separate sheet of tracing paper.
Neatly size it down to the size of your letter.
Take a 3-D glitter or an out-liner. Using this draw some kind of design or pattern on the bottom half of the tracing sheet.
Place this on top of top of your letter. Tie them with some attractive ribbon.

Now take another tracing sheet of the same size and stick fresh or dried ROSE petals in shape of a HEART. Place it over the letter making it the first page ( Let it be detachable).

Now make a 4-fold envelope and place your stack of letters in it.
Fold the envelope and tie it using a ribbon.

Hope your love loves it.....
