A bookmark is used to keep the reader's place in a book and to enable the reader to return to it with ease... 

There can be a wide variety of bookmarks. You can use paper or card or may be fabrics or metal to make your bookmark. 

Here's two kinds of bookmark, one which can be clipped with pages and the other which can be placed in between the pages.
